Hello fellow art lovers! Today, I'm excited to share my latest whimsical girl with all of you. I recently uploaded a fun YouTube video featuring a speed painting timelapse of my original mixed media art.
I wasn't sure where the piece was going when I started the background. I was just swatching some new oil pastels (which were dry and I don't recommend) and decided to keep playing after I was done by adding layers of gesso and paint before I sketched out a quick quirky woman with a wistful look that makes me feel like she is daydreaming. I ended up using my usual color palette of vibrant bold blues, purples, oranges, and pinks.

This project was a fun, impromptu little piece and so much fun from start to finish. I can't wait to take you on this artistic journey with me. So, grab your favorite beverage and settle into a cozy spot to watch this short speed painting process. I find speed painting timelapses incredibly mesmerizing to watch. Seeing the entire creative process condensed into a few minutes adds an element of magic to the process. I hope you enjoy watching the video as much as I enjoyed painting the artwork!
