Whimsical Delights: A Colorful Journey "At a Snail's Pace"

Hello fellow mixed media art lovers and artists! I have another short YouTube speed painting timelapse video to share with you. It features an adorable and whimsical snail perched on a white daisy with a sunny yellow center. Get ready for cuteness overload!

 

I started this simple little painting in one of my handmade art journals where I already have some backgrounds started.  A vibrant pink and orange shell adorn this charming little snail as she makes her way across a white daisy.  My usual go to color scheme of beautiful aqua blue and magenta in the background contrasts with the bright pinks and oranges of the snail shell.

I love trying out different materials and techniques to add depth and texture to my artwork. In this particular painting, I combined acrylic paints, soft chalk pastel pencils, and a bit of collage . The result? A piece that's as fun and girly and full of whimsy!

A piece never feels finished before I add playful doodles and lines, giving it an extra touch of whimsy. It felt like I was whisked away to a magical world, where snails happily roam on daisies and bring joy to anyone who lays eyes on them.

There's something so relaxing to me about watching the creation of art unfold in fast motion- as contradictory as it seems. In just a few minutes, you get to witness the entire process, from the rough sketch to the finished piece. It's like a burst of creativity packed into a tiny video snippet!
I think the quirky music I chose to go with the video compliment the girly and whimsical vibe of this artwork. Trust me, you'll want to watch with the volume on!
